Christmas eve, I handled one of them (It's kind of a 2-in-1) by letting an old family friend take me out.
It was a good thing, and I may have found an opportunity for cash while I'm at it, doing a bit of modelling for Hapsburg (The Haps) Shirt Co. in Bfflo which this friend owns and does designs for. (I don't know if I could seriously say "What's the Haps, yo?" as one of his slogans says.) I also hit open meetings, which helped deal with my itch, after 2 years to deal with stress with addictions I know wouldn't be good for me. Now, I think I'm in for a long week, because I succumbed... to rascally gingerbread! Bad me, I allowed gluten into my system. First night, I slept in the tub. I didn't want to throw up on the floor or in bed. Right now, I'm trying the BRAT diet again... Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Tea/ Toast. In my case, it's BRATTT (Tapioca Toast). God as my witness... I don't want to ever look at a gingerbread man again. Half eaten ones are in my dreams, chanting, Na na na na na! Bethy's been a bad, bad girl. Smack me next time and tell me "NO."

You're pretty damn interesting, and Me and Betty are discussing my fascination with your eyes. . . . . . .if you're eyes cause me to sin, can I just forget about it?

That gluten is a pain in the rear I tell ya! I was tempted to eat a sandwich the other night, bad mistake! I am still not passed it or the sleep that I missed 2 days straight.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about it if I need to stay awake for a reason gluten does it much better than caffeine ever will for me.. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Oh my. :) I never actually knew my eyes had that effect. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bad idea... once I got clean after my celiac diagnosis last year, I started looking and feeling better... oopsie! I suppose it'll teach me next time.
I have several friends with celiac and they do find recipes/products that allow them what they love without becoming ill.
ReplyDeleteI'll send you a list of companies that make foods that will work for you and keep you out of the tub.
Nite, Bethy.
Thanks, Maria. I'm always searching & always fighting temptation. On the whole, minus this, I'm doing great. I'll learn from this! Night, Maria
