Merry Frigging Christmas, asshole!
I am attempting--- Lord, am I attempting- to keep myself sunny in spite of cold, pain and stress. This is the first Christmas without Grandma... the first year I have not been soundly heckled into naming a gift...any gift! (I usually said, "aww, heck, how about an afghan.") I see people being rude for fun. I see all sorts of fucking cloudy moods, until I am close to smacking someone. I fucking hurt! Damn it, I fucking hurt! It's been a damn tough year! I got some wins, I have a lot of losses in my column too. I have friends who adore me. I have friends in pain. I'm missing my Gamma, I miss my Sushi, and hate watching her slowly get cut off by Mr. Marvelous (sarcasm intended.) The wind doth howl, some nights. My sweet nephew gets over strep throat all for an awful "elephant seal" cough that YOU can feel from not too close to him. People play awful pranks for their own selfish desires. They lie, they cheat, they steal. They hurt others for fun. I see a lot in pain, in numerous ways. It's hurting me. I don't know how to get it out. I am sad, and mad, and mad at myself for being mad. For fuck's sake: Where is Joy? Where is Peace, and Goodwill Towards ALL MEN? Where the fuck IS it? Commercialism runs rampant? Do we frigging NEED pretty bits of shiny carbon to say I love you? Really, Kay Jewelers? I only liked one of your ads, the one with ASL. And for that, alone. Since when does giving light and hope and love get supplanted with "Here's a fucking ring."? Fuck that! Fuck it in the ass! How about walking up to your favorite asshole, and cheerfully saying, "Hi! Merry Christmas, Douche Nozzle!" Is that really so fucking hard? So Merry Frigging Christmas.
